What is it?
The SST57B is a smart differential pressure transmitter that uses a piezoresistive sensor and microprocessor electronics to measure very small to very high differential pressures. It provides a 4–20 mA output with HART communication and includes a local LCD display with pushbuttons for setup.
Where is it used?
It is used in industrial processes where accurate differential pressure monitoring is essential, such as filtration, flow measurement with primary elements, and level measurement in pressurized tanks. Its ATEX approval makes it suitable for hazardous areas including oil & gas, chemical, and energy plants.
How does it work?
The device senses pressure differences between its two process ports using a piezoresistive sensor. The microprocessor processes the signal, applies temperature compensation, and outputs a 4–20 mA signal with HART data. The LCD shows the measured value and allows local configuration of parameters.
What problems does it solve?
It provides stable, accurate differential pressure measurement even under harsh conditions, thanks to high accuracy, low drift, and temperature compensation. It reduces maintenance, works in hazardous areas, and simplifies setup with both local buttons and HART configuration.
