What is it?
The L30D-D1 is a three-way control valve designed for diverting flow within a process system. It is a globe-style valve with a robust top-entry construction and is available in sizes from DN15 to DN200, with multiple material and trim options. The valve can be equipped with either pneumatic or electric actuators and is built to provide precise, stable control across a wide range of industrial operating conditions.
Where is it used?
This valve is used in industrial process applications where a flow stream must be divided and directed between two outlets. Typical media include water, superheated water, saturated steam, thermal oil, gases, and other compatible industrial liquids. It is commonly found in heating systems, power plants, chemical processes, and any installation requiring a reliable diverting function.
How does it work?
The L30D-D1 operates by adjusting the position of the plug to control how the inlet flow (A) is distributed between the two outlet ports (B and AB), as illustrated in the datasheet. The actuator, either pneumatic or electric, moves the plug to open or restrict each path. The guided plug design and engineered trims provide stable, smooth, and predictable flow regulation even under changing process conditions.
What problems does it solve?
The valve offers a reliable and low-maintenance solution for directing process flow without the need for multiple two-way valves or complex piping. It reduces wear, minimizes leakage (Class IV standard), and ensures stable performance across varying temperatures, pressures, and fluid types. This makes it an effective solution for improving control accuracy, operational safety, and system efficiency in industrial environments.
