What is it?
The IDEC FT1A-C12RA-W3.8 PLC+HMI is a compact, all-in-one device that combines a programmable logic controller (PLC) with a user-friendly 3.8-inch touchscreen human-machine interface (HMI). Designed for small to mid-sized automation tasks, it integrates control, monitoring, and visualization in a single unit—saving space and simplifying installation. The FT1A features 12 I/O points (8 digital inputs, 4 relay outputs) and can be expanded up to 24 I/O. How does it work?
The PLC is programmed using IDEC’s WindLDR software, which allows users to set up logic and control functions just like with any conventional PLC. The HMI is configured via WindO/I-NV4, enabling the creation of on-screen buttons, graphs, and alerts. The FT1A controls processes based on input signals (e.g. from sensors) and manages outputs (e.g. to pumps or motors).
