What is it?

The Crowcon Gas-Pro TK is a portable gas detector specifically developed for tank monitoring applications. It is designed to safely and efficiently perform gas measurements during the degassing, purging, or filling of tanks, both with flammable gases and inert gases such as nitrogen. The Gas-Pro TK measures oxygen (O₂) and flammable gases such as methane and propane. This makes it suitable for various scenarios on board ships and in industrial environments—from detecting residual oxygen after nitrogen purging to determining explosive limits (LEL/UEL) when filling or emptying tanks. Thanks to its robust design and top-mounted display, the Gas-Pro TK is particularly well-suited for use in confined or hard-to-reach spaces. Its intuitive operation and clear visual and audible alarms make it a reliable partner for critical tank measurements.

How does it work?

The Crowcon Gas-Pro TK uses advanced sensor technology to continuously monitor the gas composition in the environment. In Tank Test mode, it automatically switches from oxygen measurement to flammability detection once the oxygen level drops below 10%. This ensures the user always receives accurate readings in both oxygen-rich and oxygen-deficient environments. The Gas-Pro TK detects flammable gases in both volume-% and LEL (Lower Explosive Limit), depending on the selected mode. Visual alerts on the display and loud audible alarms warn when thresholds are exceeded, while data logging provides complete traceability of measurements. Its ergonomic housing fits comfortably in the hand and is resistant to water, dust, and shock (IP65/67). Charging can be done via a docking station or a plug-in charger, and the device supports multiple sensor configurations for different applications.
