What is it?
The Tyco T2000 2-8 Loop Marine Addressable Fire Alarm Panel is an intelligent, modular fire detection system specifically designed for use in the maritime sector. Supporting two to eight addressable loops, it can be easily configured to meet the requirements of both small vessels and large cruise ships or offshore installations. The panel features a clear, backlit LCD display and a user-friendly keypad, ensuring simple operation and configuration. With its robust construction and international certifications, including DNV and MED, the panel meets all requirements for use on SOLAS-compliant ships.
How does it work?
The T2000 panel operates with addressable loops to which detectors, manual call points, and sounders are connected. Each device on the loop has a unique address, allowing the panel to pinpoint exactly where an alarm or fault has occurred. Its built-in intelligent control continuously analyses all signals, greatly reducing the risk of false alarms. The system also supports a wide range of expansion modules, LED annunciators, and mimic panels, enabling alarm indications and control at multiple locations. Using the RS-485 communication bus, several repeaters or additional control panels can be connected, even up to 1200 meters away, allowing seamless integration into larger ship networks.
What problems does it solve?
Fire on board a ship can rapidly endanger lives, compromise crew safety, and cause severe damage to equipment and cargo. The Tyco T2000 offers a dependable solution to these risks. Its fast and accurate detection ensures that even the earliest stages of a fire are quickly identified, even under the demanding conditions of a maritime environment. The system minimizes false alarms, preventing unnecessary disruptions to ship operations. Additionally, its modular design allows easy expansion, enabling it to grow with the vessel’s needs. The self-diagnostic features and durable, certified components reduce maintenance requirements, enhancing operational reliability. Furthermore, the straightforward integration with other ship systems and flexible control options ensures that the crew can respond quickly and effectively in any situation.
