What is it?
The OC050 is a conventional optical smoke detector that detects smoke using the light-scattering (Tyndall) principle. It is EN 54-7 certified and designed to provide reliable smoke detection in conventional fire alarm systems.

Where is it used?
The detector is used in commercial and industrial environments such as offices, technical rooms, warehouses, and other indoor areas where early smoke detection is required. It is suitable for installation in conventional fire detection systems and for use in demanding environments thanks to its robust design.

How does it work?
The OC050 contains an optical sensing chamber with a light source and a sensor. When smoke particles enter the chamber, the light is scattered and detected by the sensor. The internal electronics evaluate this signal and trigger a fire alarm when the preset threshold is exceeded.

What problems does it solve?
The detector provides early and reliable detection of smouldering fires and visible smoke, helping to reduce damage and risks to people. It offers a stable and low-maintenance fire detection solution without the complexity of addressable systems, simplifying installation and system management.
