What is it?
The SG65 is a pneumatic indicating controller designed to measure and control process variables such as pressure, temperature, or liquid level. It senses the process value, displays it, compares it with a setpoint, and sends a standard pneumatic output signal (3–15 psi / 0.2–1 bar) to a final control element like a valve.
Where is it used?
It is used in industrial and process plants where pneumatic control is preferred or required, such as chemical processes, refineries, utilities, and environments where electrical instruments may not be suitable. It can control liquids, gases, or vapors, and is also used as a remote pneumatic transmitter or a receiver controller.
How does it work?
The SG65 measures the process variable using a mechanical sensing element (Bourdon tube, low-pressure bellows, or temperature bulb). It compares the measured value with the setpoint and produces a modulating pneumatic output signal between 3–15 psi or 0.2–1 bar. Depending on the selected model, it can operate as ON/OFF, Proportional, PI, or PID controller.
What problems does it solve?
The SG65 provides reliable control in applications where electronics cannot be used, such as hazardous or high-temperature areas. It offers stable performance, low air consumption, and reduced maintenance, thanks to its mechanical construction and easily replaceable components. It ensures compatibility with any pneumatic control valve and supports multiple control modes, giving flexibility for different process requirements.
