The MicroSmart FC6A series is available in two types of CPUs: Plus and All-in-One. The Plus type features a dual RJ45 Ethernet port, built-in web server functions, and the ability to expand up to 2060 I/O. On the other hand, the All-in-One type has a built-in serial port and RJ45 Ethernet port and can be expanded up to 520 I/O.

The next generation IDEC MicroSmart FC6A Plus PLC surpasses the limits of micro-PLC performance! With its capacity of 2,060 I/O, this PLC can control large machines or entire small-scale production facilities, providing more possibilities for even the most demanding applications. MicroSmart FC6A Plus CPUs now support the EtherNet/IP™ protocol. With the addition of EtherNet/IP™ scanner functionality, the FC6A Plus can now connect to, monitor, and control any I/O, variable speed drive, or other intelligent automation device using this popular industrial protocol. Additionally, the FC6A Plus can be configured as an EtherNet/IP™ adapter, allowing it to communicate with other peer and supervisory systems, such as PLCs and HMIs.

The FC6A All-in-One CPU is a powerful micro-PLC with a maximum of 520 digital I/O and 126 analog I/O. There are three models available, each with 24V DC or 100-240V AC input power. The model with 16 I/O has 9 inputs and 7 relay or transistor outputs. The model with 24 I/O has 14 inputs and 10 relay or transistor outputs. The model with 40 I/O has 24 inputs and 16 relay or transistor outputs. Each model also includes a built-in 0-10V DC analog input. The models with 16 and 24 I/O can accommodate one plug-in cartridge, while the model with 40 I/O can accommodate two plug-in cartridges.
